1. Who we are
Mooot is a daily word game (Wordle style) in English, Catalan, and Spanish, and a Telegram bot. The service is operated by an independent developer. You can contact the data controller at gesteve.12@gmail.com.
2. Privacy Policy
This policy describes what data we process and for what purpose. Mooot complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
2.1. Data we process
- Web game data: anonymous identifiers used to maintain game state (daily progress, unlocked postcards, personal statistics). We do not require or ask for your name, email, or any identifying data to play in the browser.

Telegram bot data: Telegram ID (numeric), public username, group messages
containing shared games, and bot commands for
@mooot_en_bot. Telegram supplies this information; it is not generated by our website. - Technical data: IP address, user agent, browser language, and pages visited, processed for analytics and security.
2.2. Purposes and legal basis
- Providing the game and bot service: contractual performance and legitimate interest.
- Aggregate audience measurement and service improvement: legitimate interest, balanced with your privacy.
- Advertising (Google AdSense) and ad measurement: prior consent in the EU/EEA.
- Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., responding to lawful requests): legal obligation.
2.3. Retention
We retain game data for as long as the service is active or until you request deletion. Aggregate analytics data is retained for at most 26 months. You can request deletion by emailing gesteve.12@gmail.com.
2.4. Recipients and international transfers
We don't sell data to third parties. We share the minimum necessary with providers:
- Supabase (storage and database).
- Cloudflare (CDN and security).
- Telegram (only if you use the bot).
- Google (Analytics and AdSense, only with your consent).
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as a safeguard. You can request a copy of these safeguards.
2.5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, and withdrawal of consent at any time. You can exercise these rights by emailing gesteve.12@gmail.com. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency / AEPD).
2.6. Children
Mooot is not specifically directed at children under 13 (or 14 in some EU jurisdictions). If you are a minor, please ask your parent or legal guardian's consent before playing with a Telegram account. We don't ask for sensitive data or identifying information that would allow profiling of minors.
3. Cookie Policy
3.1. Strictly necessary first-party cookies
We use technical cookies strictly necessary for the game to function (remembering game state, selected language, etc.). These do not require consent.
3.2. Analytics (Google Analytics)
Mooot uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for web traffic analysis. GA4 uses cookies
(among others _ga, _ga_*) to identify returning visitors and collect
usage statistics. We have enabled IP anonymisation and disabled data sharing with
Google for advertising purposes inside GA4.
3.3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
This website may use Google AdSense, a Google advertising service, to display advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (among others the DART cookie) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites on the internet. These ads help cover server costs and keep Mooot free to play.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's ad settings or, more broadly, opt out of any third-party advertising cookies via aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
Third parties, including Google, may serve ads on our site. These third parties may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your activities to provide interest-based ads and aggregated reporting.
3.4. Managing cookies
If you wish to disable cookies, you can do so from your browser settings. Note that this may affect the functionality of some features. Remember that you can withdraw or change your consent at any time.
4. Terms and Conditions
4.1. Acceptance
By using Mooot (web, Telegram Mini App, and Telegram bot), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
4.2. Use of the service
- Don't use the service fraudulently, abusively, or unlawfully.
- Don't try to manipulate leaderboards, trophies, or collectibles.
- Don't reverse-engineer or use automated agents (bots) other than the official bot.
- You may add the official bot to your chats and play by the rules.
- We reserve the right to limit or suspend access in cases of abuse.
4.3. Availability
The service is provided "as is" without express warranties. Interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, or incidents. We can't guarantee 24/7 availability.
4.4. Intellectual property
The "Mooot" name, the logo, postcard illustrations, and website documentation are owned by the project's responsible developer. You may share individual results (the colour squares) freely. Commercial reproduction of content is not permitted without authorisation.
4.5. Content
Game content and leaderboards depend on user participation. We may moderate or remove inappropriate content without prior notice.
4.6. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. In case of conflict, the courts at the controller's domicile will be competent, except where consumer-protection law imposes otherwise.
